Restaurant claims to sell the “world’s most expensive french fries” with a menu price of $200

NEW YORK, NY (WLNE) – French fries is a side dish most love to indulge in.

But how much are you willing to pay for the salty snack?

A New York restaurant claims it has the world’s most expensive french fries.

At New York City’s Serendipity 3 Restaurant, a serving of french fries will set you back $200.

It takes the humble potato to a new level, truffle salt, truffle oil, and shave black summer truffles.

According to the Guinness book of World Records, these are the most expensive french fries in the world.

But it’s not the only high price dish at Serendipity 3.

“This is our 10th, we have everything from the world’s largest wedding cake, the world’s most expensive ice cream sundae, the world’s most expensive burger, the world’s largest cup of hot cocoa,” Joe Calderone, Creative Director of Serendipity 3 said. “We’ve done, we’ve done a lot.”

These spuds are not your average Idaho potato.

“The Creme De La Creme Pomme Frites” are made from Chipperbec potatoes grown in the U.S. and to be clear these are a side of fries not an entree.

A burger at Serendipity 3 will cost you $295.
