San Francisco’s Instagrammable Museum of Ice Cream has closed.

The operation, based out of New York, has removed references to San Francisco from its website and taken down all signage from its only Bay Area location at 1 Grant Ave., as reported by the San Francisco Business Times.

The museum first opened in San Francisco as a pop-up in 2017.

Attractions inside the museum – all made for one colorful social media post after another – included walls full of pink and rainbow colors, ride-ready unicorns and animal crackers, cotton candy-themed artwork and a pool at the end of the experience filled entirely with life-size sprinkles. In a bid to attract repeat visitors, the museum applied to serve alcoholic drinks in 2019.

That application was rejected by the city, per the San Francisco Chronicle.

It never reopened once the COVID-19 crisis hit in early 2020.

The Museum of Ice Cream will soon open two new locations in Austin and Singapore in addition to its New York site.
