CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Paramount Theatre in Aurora will require proof of vaccination for all patrons.

The theater reopens with its production of Broadway show "Kinky Boots" on Aug. 18.

But if you want to see a show you have to get a shot. It's the first indoor show at Paramount since the start of the pandemic.

In a post on the theater's website, president and CEO Tim Rater said that social distancing is simply not possible in the venue. So proof of full vaccination will be required.

Rater said that all Paramount staff and crew will also be fully vaccinated. "Kinky Boots" runs through Oct. 17.

Anyone with questions about the attendance requirements can call Paramount's box office to see what their options are.
