Caltrain Fatally Strikes Person On Tracks In Peninsula

The person was trespassing on the tracks, the agency said on Twitter.

BURLINGAME, CA — A Caltrain heading southbound in Burlingame fatally struck a person who the agency said was trespassing on the tracks at Trousdale Drive on Friday.

The incident happened at around 6 a.m. All trains were stopped for a couple of hours while emergency personnel were on scene.

Around 8 a.m., the agency said that the next two southbound trains would combine and make both trains' scheduled stops from San Francisco to San Jose.

This was Caltrain's fifth fatal incident of the year, according to KPIX.
