A man lost his life late Tuesday night after being struck by a car in San Jose.
San Jose police responded to Curtner Ave. and Monterey Highway at 11:24 p.m. after receiving reports that a car had hit a pedestrian.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, officials reported. Police closed the roadways until 5 a.m., conducting an investigation into the fatal collision.
Curtner Ave. and Monterey Highway were later reopened to traffic.
