PHOENIX — A Valley-based fitness center is opening its second location in Mesa later this year.

Mountainside Fitness will add a location near Ray and Ellsworth roads with an opening date set for Sept. 4, according to a press release Tuesday.

The 40,000-square-foot center will feature three group fitness studios, an increased cardio platform and a strength floor with an outside workout area.

“We believe this is an ideal location and it is going to be an amazing club,” CEO Craig Cote said in the release. “We received multiple requests from members and prospects to build a location in this area and I am proud that we are almost ready to open this beautiful new club.”

To celebrate the opening, Mountainside is offering new members a $1 deal to receive either three months of child care, three Stretch-Fit sessions or three personal training sessions with no dues until October.

The new Mesa location will be open from 4:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Mountainside Fitness has 18 Valley locations, with its other Mesa center located at Brown and Greenfield roads. A 20th location is scheduled to open in Avondale.
