Over $1,700 In Items Stolen From San Carlos CVS, Arrest Made

The stolen items were returned to the store and a man was booked into the San Mateo County Jail.

SAN CARLOS, CA — A 22-year-old Oakland man was arrested on suspicion of stealing over $1,700 worth of items from a CVS Pharmacy in San Carlos on Sunday night.

The man, Jesus Moreno-Garcia, was detained by San Mateo County Sheriff’s Deputies while exiting the parking lot of the CVS on San Carlos Avenue, positively identified by a witness on scene and found to have stolen merchandise in his possession, according to the sheriff’s office.

The items taken were not specified by the sheriff's office.

Moreno-Garcia was charged with commercial burglary as well as possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

The stolen items were returned to the store and Moreno-Garcia was booked into San Mateo County Jail, the sheriff's office said.
