VIDEO: Suspect who punched, stabbed man, 57, during robbery on Queens A train sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking to identify a man wanted in connection to a violent robbery that occurred last month in Queens.

At approximately 7:40 p.m. on Monday, May 24, officials said the suspect approached a 57-year-old man on a stationary A train inside of the Lefferts Boulevard subway station in the South Ozone Park neighborhood.

According to police, the suspect proceeded to punch the victim in the face with a closed fist, stabbed the victim in the chest with a sharp object, and forcibly removed his wallet.

The suspect then fled the station on foot westbound on Liberty Avenue.

EMS transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition.
