NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating a fatal double shooting and robbery that occurred early Monday morning in Brooklyn.

At approximately 12:40 a.m. on June 14, officials responded to a 911 call of a man shot at 200 Morgan Avenue in East Williamsburg, authorities said.

Preliminary investigation determined that an unknown man approached a 33-year-old man who was sitting in the passenger seat of a Ford Mustang and shot him in the back.

He then approached a 38-year-old male who was in the driver's seat of the auto, struck him with a firearm, and removed his chain, according to officials.

The older victim then drove to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, where the 33-year-old man was pronounced dead, the NYPD said.

The operator of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.

There are no arrests at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
