SAN JOSE – One person was killed and four others were injured in a solo roll-over crash in San Jose late Friday, authorities said.

The collision was reported about 10 p.m. on northbound Highway 101, just north of Capitol Expressway, said Officer Ross Lee of the California Highway Patrol.

Lee said a Toyota Prius veered off the roadway, overturned several times and hit a sound wall.

One of the passengers died of his injuries at the scene, Lee said. Four others were taken to an area hospital.

Lee said some of the occupants were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
