The district schedule came to a delayed ending this weekend. After splitting a pair of games with Iowa Park, the Steers ended the district schedule with a share of the district championship and a one seed from the district for the playoffs. After getting shut out 5-0 in a rain-delayed game in Iowa Park Thursday, the Steers defeated the Hawks Friday 4-3 in a game to determine playoff seeding.

Hawks 5, Steers 0

Wins have been tough to come by in Iowa Park in recent years for any team. The Steers experienced this first hand in a game that began on Tuesday and ended Thursday last week.

The Steers did not record a hit until the third inning of the loss. Corey Ballew reached first base after getting hit by a pitch with two outs in the top of the first inning. The top half of the inning ended two pitches later with a flyout by Parker Johnson.
