UPDATE: Friday, April 16 at 11:22 p.m.

WFPD obtained a search warrant at the house, and police entered.

The house was cleared by the SWAT team, and no people were found in the house. The suspect is on the run at this time.

Police have since cleared the scene. Charges will possibly be filed later on the man in question.

WFPD assures the public is safe and are in no danger.


UPDATE: Friday, April 16 at 9:30 p.m.

Wichita Falls Police Police said that a man and a woman had gotten into an argument when the man fired his gun at the woman’s dog, who was trying to protect her.

Police said the man managed to escape the house.

At least one person inside the home and they are working to negotiate with him to come out peacefully, according to police.


WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Police are currently on scene investigating shots fired in the 2200 block of Broad Street in Wichita Falls.

Officers responded to a residence there before 7 p.m., Friday, April 16.

The area is closed off to the public in what is possibly a stand-off situation. A suspect is reportedly barricaded inside of a residence.
