A celebration of life is being held for a Fulton 17-year-old who died after a Callaway County crash.

Xander Noel died on Sunday after a Saturday crash on Route WW according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Friends and family will share memories of Noel at 4 p.m. and the ceremony of life service will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Veterans Park Amphitheater in Fulton.

The service will also be streamed on the Fulton High School Cross County Facebook page.

The cross-country team expressed their condolences on Facebook.

He was a cornerstone of our team, always encouraging and inspiring. Always putting forth his best effort to always do the right thing. His passion for our team radiated through him and was felt by everyone. He was a team leader.
When he spoke, the team listened. He was one of the hardest working kids I have ever coached. Pushed himself to limits I've never seen. Always wanting to do his best and make others proud. Next fall would be his senior year. There are no words to describe how much he will be missed.

Troopers responded to the crash around 2:20 p.m.

Noel was traveling eastbound on Route WW near County Road 259 when he crossed the center line and sideswiped a vehicle traveling westbound according to a report.

He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The MSHP said Noel was pronounced brain dead.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday in Kansas City.

A GoFundMe page was set up for Noel's family.
