NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A former NYPD officer who allegedly gave her boyfriend thousands of dollars to hire a hitman to kill her husband and her boyfriend’s teenage daughter plans has pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice, according to a report.
Cincinelli, 36, pleaded guilty to the charge in a courtroom on Long Island on Friday, NBC New York reported.
The Oceanside resident apologized for deleting information off of an iPhone in May 2019 in an attempt to impede a probe, the outlet reported.
“I know that what I did was wrong,” she said, according to the outlet.
Prosecutors say Cincinnelli gave her then-boyfriend, John DiRubba, $7,000 in cash in 2019 after he told her he would hire a hitman to kill her then-husband, Isaiah Carvalho, and DiRubba’s then-15-year-old daughter.
In fact, DiRubba was working with federal investigators, according to prosecutors. Cincinnelli was arrested and charged in the murder-for-hire plot soon after.
