Ohio man arrested in Times Square with semi-automatic rifle

MANHATTEN, NY (WSYX) — An Ohio man with an unloaded semi-automatic rifle was arrested Friday outside the Times Square subway station.

18-year-old Saadiq Teague man was spotted by police outside the subway station and ABC reports the rifle was sitting next to him.

Teague told police the gun was registered in Ohio. The gun was not loaded but ammunition was found in a bag next to him.

Teague was taken into custody and had an Ohio ID in his possession.

He is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a loaded firearm, two counts of criminal possession of an assault rifle, one count of criminal possession of an ammo clip, and one count of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
