Man, 35, aboard Brooklyn A train stabbed in abdomen during dispute: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is investigating after a 35-year-old man was stabbed on a Brooklyn subway train Friday afternoon.

According to officials, the victim was stabbed in the abdomen on a northbound A Train after he got into a dispute with another man in his 30's.

At approximately 2:13 p.m. the victim got off at the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Street subway station in Downtown Brooklyn to report the incident to police.

He was taken to Methodist Hospital in serious but stable condition.

The suspect was last seen fleeing on Atlantic Avenue, the NYPD said.

He was wearing a grey jacket, white pants and a braid.

An investigation is ongoing.
