One person dead after two semi-trucks crash in Caldwell

CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — One person died on Friday in a crash involving two semi-trucks in Caldwell.

Idaho State Police says a 24-year-old Glenns Ferry man was heading east in a semi-truck when he lost control of the vehicle near the Franklin Road exit, went over the median and collided with another tractor-trailer driven by Clifford Dow, 34, of White City, Oregon.

Dow died at the scene of the crash.

The Glenns Fery man was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.

As they continue to investigate, troopers are asking anyone who witnessed the crash, who hasn't already spoken with police, to contact Idaho State Police at 208-846-7500.
