A local school district employee from Huntington Beach was arrested Thursday morning on charges of sexual contact with a minor.

According to Lt. Brian Smith of the HBPD, the suspect is Charles Jacques, 58, who is employed by the Huntington Beach City School District.  He is being held in lieu of $2 million bail.

He is charged with forced oral copulation with a minor through force or fear; lewd acts with a minor under the age of 14; lewd acts with a minor; child annoyance. His arrest culminated an investigation that began in March into allegations of sexual interactions with children.

Although Jacques was employed by the school district at the time of his arrest, police have not identified any students of the HBCSD as victims. The HBCSD is a K-8 public school system serving northern Huntington Beach and some adjacent areas.

Police are asking anyone with information about other possible victims to call Detective Tim Emanuel at (714) 536-5977.
