Man, 21, killed in afternoon shooting on Bronx street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 21-year-old man was shot and killed on a Bronx street in broad daylight, police said Friday.

The man was shot on Wallace Avenue, near Adee Avenue, in the Williamsbridge section shortly before 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police said officers responding to a 911 call found the man with gunshot wounds to his chest.

The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. He has not yet been identified.

According to the Daily News, the man had walked up to an idling car on the street and was then shot by someone inside before the car sped away.

Citizen App video shows NYPD officers investigating after the shooting.

Police said no arrests have been made and that an investigation is ongoing.
