The League of Women Voters St. Paul will host a free program April 27 on “Rebuilding University Avenue” to discuss what’s happening to businesses that were damaged or destroyed in the civil unrest that followed the death of George Floyd while in Minneapolis police custody last year.

Guest speakers will include:

  • Nicolle Goodman, director of the City of St. Paul Planning and Economic Development Department.
  • Chad Kulas of the Midway Chamber of Commerce.
  • A business owner who was impacted by the civil unrest.

The speakers will discuss what is being done to rebuild in keeping with the community’s character, who is working on it and how the public can help.

This will be a virtual one-hour event starting at 7 p.m. on ZOOM or the League’s Facebook page. The public can register for ZOOM at https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_UQwezKJoR-S4sR9T4J4Yhw.
