REDMOND, WA β€” Have some home improvement plans for the sunny weekend? Redmond neighbors have a chance to unload styrofoam for recycling during a free event at Albertson's on Saturday. Residents are invited down to the store at 3925 236th Avenue Northeast, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., on April 17.

The store will accept only clean, dry, and empty items, including styrofoam blocks and take-out containers, with any tape or labels removed. Residents can also check their items for a "#6" or EPS symbol on the packaging, which means it is recyclable. The event cannot accept packing peanuts, cups, food trays, or non-styrofoam recyclables, and drop-offs are limited to "residential quantities."

The drive-up event will take place in the parking lot, and visitors must wear face-coverings and stay inside their vehicles. Anyone who feels ill is asked to stay home.
