UTEP will officially introduce their new men's basketball head coach, Joe Golding, at a live conference at 2:30 p.m.

Golding arrived in El Paso Wednesday morning after he was confirmed for the job on Tuesday.

Golding sent a statement Tuesday night regarding his new position at UTEP: I’m honored and humbled to be the next head coach at UTEP. Growing up in Midland and West Texas, I know all about the storied history and tradition of the Miner program — the 1966 national championship, the NCAA Tournament appearances, the conference titles and all the tremendous head coaches who have come through the Sun City, including the legendary Don Haskins.

Event will appear below when it starts.

Abilene Christian also issued a release with a quote from Golding on Tuesday night: "This was not an easy decision. I spent 20 years of my life on this campus, which raised me from a boy to a man. We've gone through peaks and valleys together, but at the end of the day I couldn't be happier for what we've built here at Abilene Christian — one of the best mid-major programs in the country."
