PEORIA -- The human remains found Tuesday in Peoria have been identified as a man reported missing by his family earlier this week.

Jamie Harwood said Wednesday in a news release the man was 39-year-old Antwan Freeman, who was reported missing on April 11.

Harwood said autopsy findings on Freeman are pending, and likely won’t be available for several weeks. However, no foul play was suspected, the coroner added.

Freeman was last seen wearing a red shirt in the area of the 2600 block of West Lavalle Court on April 10, according to a Peoria Police Department news release.
