FEMA's mobile vaccine units will switch to Pfizer vaccines after temporary halting the use of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson).

Pfizer is administered in two doses that are spread out by three weeks per dose.

The change is due to the CDC's and FDA's recommendation that the United States pause using the Janssen vaccine due to some rare cases of blood clotting.

The mobile units will continue to provide vaccines via walk-up registration on a first-come, first-served basis. Nevadans 16 and older are eligible through these MVUs.
