JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A man was arrested and is facing several charges after a brief pursuit with Jamestown Police Tuesday evening.

Jamestown Police Major Justin Blinsky reports the incident occurred in the Northwest portion of the city just after 8:30 PM on April 13th.

Because of conditions, officers used caution in proceed with the pursuit and lost sight of the vehicle. Blinsky says they quickly learned the vehicle was somewhere in the Northwest part of Jamestown. Officers then attempted to make contact with the vehicle owner.

The driver was identified as 33 year-old Cody Allen Buchanan of Jamestown. He was arrested on suspicion of fleeing/attempting to elude a police officer, reckless driving, and exhibition driving. The investigation continues.

Buchanan has since posted his $1,250 bond.
