Starting in May, Boise Parks and Recreation will be replacing five sections of the Boise River Green Belt.
According to the city, some of the paths are cracked or have damage from tree roots or outdated asphalt.

The city will replace the asphalt paths with concrete as well as replace benches, trash cans, and bollards along those stretches. Construction will be done throughout the summer and will wrap up this fall.
An interactive map allows people to track each project as it’s completed and give feedback on planned detour routes.
The Greenbelt is more than 50 miles long – running from Lucky Peak, through Boise, and into Garden City and the City of Eagle.
