A wanted fugitive from southeast Iowa was captured late Tuesday morning in northeast Missouri after a vehicle pursuit through two counties.

Trevor David White, 36, of Centerville, Iowa, was taken into custody just after 11 a.m.

He was arrested on multiple active felony warrants out of Appanoose and Wapello counties in Iowa. Putnam County Deputy Julie Frazier told KTVO there were 47 pages of warrant documents for White.

Authorities in Appanoose County notified the Putnam County Sheriff's Office around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday that White was believed to be at a residence on Highway 5 in Putnam County.

The fugitive was described as armed and dangerous with violent tendencies, who was known to abuse drugs and was an escape risk.

During a surveillance operation, White left the residence, reportedly to get breakfast in Unionville, Missouri.

On the way into town, a Missouri state trooper attempted to pull over the car White was driving.

They said White failed to yield and led law enforcement on an approximately 15-mile pursuit into Sullivan County, Missouri.

There, he was arrested in a field behind a home on Fair Drive.

White waived extradition and was transported to the Appanoose County Law Center in Centerville, Iowa.

New Putnam County charges are now pending against the suspect.
