Meanwhile, the county also reported 29 new coronavirus cases and no new deaths. The total number of cases now stands at 22,016 cases. Vanderburgh County's seven-day positivity rate for individuals, 11.9%, fell Wednesday after several days of increases.

All the data can be found on the Indiana State Department of Health's statewide dashboard of cases and the state agency's COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard.

Almost all of Vanderburgh County's reported 52,591 fully vaccinated residents — 50,870, or 97% — got there by taking both stages of the two-dose Moderna or Pfizer vaccines. The ISDH on Wednesday asked vaccine providers to pause the distribution of the single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine pending federal review after six reported cases of a very rare blood clot found in women who received the shot.
