EAST GREENWICH, RI — An East Greenwich man has been accused of defrauding investors out of over $4.2 million in connection with the stage show "Magic Mike Live" at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, said the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California in a news release.

According to a 10-count indictment unsealed Tuesday at the United States District Court in Rhode Island, John A. Santilli, 47, is facing charges including securities fraud, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft.

Prosecutors say Santilli managed and partly owned Aloris Entertainment, LLC, which had connections with Mike's Mobile Detailing, LLC, the company that operates "Magic Mike Live." He raised millions of dollars from victims by soliciting investments in "Aloris Magic Mike MP," a different business, and telling investors they would receive shares and a percentage of the profits from the show.
