APPLETON (WLUK) – One of the suspects in a Kaukauna murder was ordered Wednesday to stand trial, while a competency exam was ordered for the other.

Dontae Payne is charged with first-degree intentional homicide for allegedly killing Brian Porsche at a home on W. Division Street on March 30.

After testimony from a Kaukauna police officer, Payne was ordered to stand trial. Arraignment is scheduled for April 29.

Payne and Tanya Stammer allegedly went to the home to confront Porsche. He allegedly shot Porsche and the two made it look like a robbery before leaving the scene, according to the criminal complaint.

Stammer faces similar charges. Her attorney requested a competency exam, due to concerns about her mental ability to understand the charges and assist in her own defense. A judge ordered the psychiatric review, with the results to be discussed at a May 17 hearing.

At her initial appearance, Stammer told the court she planned to “take accountability for my actions.”

Porsche died of a single gunshot wound to the head.
