APRIL 14: Nearly 400,000 people test positive for COVID-19 in Iowa since start of pandemic

The Iowa Department of Public Health's COVID-19 data shows an increase of 655 people reported to have tested positive for coronavirus from 10:00 a.m. on April 13 to 10:00 a.m. on April 14. The total number of people who have tested positive is now 358,139.

According to the state database, a total of 798,577 people are fully vaccinated against the virus. The state is nearing 2 million doses administered, with 1,907,934 total so far.

5,857 Iowans have died from coronavirus since the pandemic began last year. The state did not see an increase from the number reported on Tuesday.

There are currently 218 people who are hospitalized with the disease. That is a decrease of two people compared to the day before.
