Pittsburgh Attorney Todd Hollis says he is filing charges against former Pitt superstar and Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

Hollis tells the Post-Gazette that his client, DeVincent Spriggs, was assaulted by Donald over the weekend after an incident at an after-hours club and that the man suffered a concussion and other injuries.

Hollis said at a press conference Wednesday morning that his client was punched by Donald and others with the NFL star at the "Boom Boom Room" after-hours club on the South Side early Sunday morning after he bumped into Donald, spilling his drink

Hollis adds Spriggs suffered an injury to his arm and a laceration to his face that needed 16 stiches.

Hollis says they are going to "give (police) an opportunity to investigate the matter."

The Rams released a statement to KDKA Radio Wednesday afternoon.

“We are aware of the reports regarding Aaron Donald. We are collecting more information and will have no further comment at this time.”

Donald beat out Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt for the NFL’s 2020 Defensive Player of the Year.

The 29-year-old Donald, a Pittsburgh native, had 15 sacks, 53 total tackles and two forced fumbles last season.

Donald has won the DPOY award three times in his career and is regarded as one of the best defensive players in the history of the NFL.

Drafted to L.A. in 2014 out of the University of Pittsburgh, Donald made a seven-figure donation in 2019 to the University’s Football Championship Fund and the ground floor of the Panther’s athletic complex was renamed the “Aaron Donald Football Performance Center.”

He played high school football at Penn Hills.

We have yet to hear from Donald's attorney's on the incident.
