Crews respond to Wednesday fire at southeast Roanoke residence

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — First responders headed to southeast Roanoke Wednesday morning after a fire was reported at a residential structure.

According to a tweet from Roanoke Fire-EMS on Wednesday, April 14, units were dispatched to the 1200 block of Dale Avenue SE for a fire shortly after 8:15 a.m.

When crews arrived at the scene, they reportedly found light smoke coming from a residence, but the fire was marked under control within 10 minutes.

At 8:18am, we were dispatched to the 1200 block of Dale Ave SE for a fire. Units found light smoke coming from a residential structure. The structure was believed to be vacant.
