FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD)- The investigation continues into the cause of a house fire that left two people hurt, including a firefighter and a woman who was rescued.
The fire broke out around noon yesterday at a home on Wilkinson Avenue, near Beach Street in East Fort Worth.
Crews were able to quickly put out the fire and while searching the house they found a woman inside. A firefighter pulled her to safety and while rescuing that woman the firefighter was hurt. As first responders do, that firefighter helped treat the woman at the scene until she was airlifted to Parkland hospital in Dallas.
The firefighter was also taken to Parkland to be treated.
The woman is in critical condition today. The firefighter is reported to be stable today. No word yet on how the fire got started.
