Rhode Island reports 454 new coronavirus cases, 3 deaths

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — The Rhode Island Department of Health on Tuesday reported 454 new cases of the coronavirus and three additional deaths.

That brings the state's total deaths to 2,640 and 142,774 total cases.

The state said 137 patients are currently hospitalized with the virus.

The Department of Health said 309,622 Rhode Islanders are currently vaccinated.

On Monday, a spokesperson for the department said there was a network issue that prevented them from running their normal reports.

A positivity rate was not immediately posted online.
