Illinois added to its 2021 recruiting class on Tuesday afternoon.

3-star guard Brandin Podziemski announced his commitment to the Illini. Here’s his commitment video:

While Podziemski is a 3-star according to 247Sports Composite rankings, he could be a serious sleeper. 247Sports has him ranked as 4-star prospect and he has the potential to be a high-level scorer at the next level.

According to 247Sports, Podziemski also had offers from Kansas, Kentucky, Arizona State, Marquette, Kansas State and several other programs.

He’s currently listed at 6-foot-5, 195 pounds. He attends St. John’s Northwestern Academies in Delafield, Wisconsin.

Podziemski is the third commitment for Illinois in the class of 2021. He joins 4-star forward Luke Goode and 4-star forward Ramses Melendez. Podziemski and Melendez are expected to officially sign with Illinois on Wednesday.

Podziemski’s scoring ability will likely help replace transfer guard Adam Miller, who entered the portal earlier this offseason.
