PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The former first assistant district attorney in Bucks County, who got in trouble after he was caught driving for DoorDash during office hours, has resigned.

Gregg Shore was demoted last month after Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub found out he was driving for the food delivery service while he was supposed to be working — a story you heard first on KYW Newsradio.

Weintraub said it was “so stupid it bordered on the ridiculous.”

After his demotion, Shore said he was driving for DoorDash “for personal reasons” but did not elaborate. He said he realized he let down his boss, his colleagues and the taxpayers of Bucks County.

Shore’s salary was listed as $125,435 in 2019.

He started with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office in 1996 and returned in 2015. He was named first assistant in 2017.

It is not immediately clear if Shore has another job.
