COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A person has been hospitalized after a shooting in east Columbus Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 4:26 p.m., Tuesday officers were called to the 2700 block of Tennyson Boulevard on the report of a shooting.  

When officers arrived on scene, they found an 18-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.  

The man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition where he underwent surgery.  

According to police, the man has been upgraded to stable condition.
