Social Distancing Makes It Impossible

Sandston, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - When the Toyota Owners 400 kicks off Sunday afternoon, Richmond Raceway will not be at the 30% capacity it is allowed for the race. RR President Dennis Bickmeier says because of social distancing, they will not be able to meet that number, even in a facility as large as their track. Bickmeier compares it to a difficult math problem.

The distancing also extends to the lots, where campers will have a parking space in between them. Bickmeier also says entrance into the track will be staggered, and most transactions will be touchless.

Bickmeier says there will be no walkup sales for the Sunday race, as those tickets were filled by season ticket holders. The Saturday race will allow walkups.
