Cobb Drive-In Movie Series Returns To Marietta's Jim Miller Park

Registration is required for each movie showing, and parents can register for the May 1 showing of "Trolls World Tour" this weekend.

COBB COUNTY, GA — Grab your outdoor chairs and blankets, and pack the car with your favorite snacks and drinks (alcohol not prohibited): Cobb County's drive-in movie series is returning this spring and summer.

The Kaiser Permanente Movies in the Park series continues May 1 with a showing of "Trolls World Tour" at Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta. The park will open at 7 p.m. and visitors can enjoy trivia questions before the movie, which will begin around sunset.

Registration is required to attend the movie showings throughout the summer, and locations will vary. Registration opens Saturday at 9 a.m. for the "Trolls World Tour" showing May 1, and the cost is $20 per vehicle.

Registration for each showing will open up two weeks prior to the event date. The next showings are as follows:

  • June 5: "Sonic the Hedgehog" at Fair Oaks Park
  • July 10: "The Sandlot" at Big Shanty Park
  • Aug. 7: "Abominable" at Lost Mountain Park
  • Sept. 11: An undetermined movie will be shown at Fullers Park
