Southington Pilgrim Furniture To Be 1 Of 2 Left In Connecticut

SOUTHINGTON, CT — A Southington furniture store will soon be one of two from the chain left in Connecticut.

A liquidation sale has begun at the Manchester Pilgrim Furniture & Mattress City location, and when it closes at the end of the month — or sooner — just two stores will be left standing in Connecticut — Milford and Southington.

The Manchester store is located at the Shoppes at Burr Corners shopping plaza in Manchester. Placards with neon green lettering were placed all over the Buckland Hills retail district over the weekend announcing the sale and by Monday morning, a staffer said items were going fast at Pilgrim.

The staffer added the store may run out of inventory before the projected closing at the end of the month.

The sign on the front of the Manchester store indicted the lease was lost on the 38,000-square-foot building.

When the Manchester store closes, the only Connecticut location will be at:

• 1755 Boston Post Road in Milford
• 55 Graham Place in Southington
