NYPD: 1 man killed, 3 wounded in stabbing at Brooklyn gambling den

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – Four men were stabbed, one of them fatally, at an illegal gambling den in Brooklyn on Friday night, police said.

The stabbing may have been sparked by an attempted robbery at the basement gambling den near 57th Street and Seventh Avenue in Sunset Park’s Chinatown, known as Little Fuzhou.

The four men were found lying on a sidewalk around 9:30 p.m., according to police.

A 46-year-old man was pronounced dead at NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn, police said.

Two other men, ages 39 and 42, were hospitalized in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. A fourth man suffered a puncture wound and was treated at the scene.

An investigation into the stabbing is ongoing, and there are conflicting reports about who stabbed who.

Police are looking at the possibility that several men attempted to rob the gambling den and may have been stabbed by someone trying to stop them.

Police are searching for up to five suspects, according to WCBS-TV. Several people were reportedly seen running to a car after the stabbing.
