NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 56-year-old woman has been arrested days after she allegedly punched a 2-year-old boy in the face on a Manhattan subway train.

Elizabeth Galarza, of Brooklyn, was arrested Friday morning and charged with assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child, police said.

The boy was punched aboard a C line train near the 116th Street station in South Harlem last Saturday.

The toddler was on the train with his 21-year-old mother around 3 p.m. when he was punched in the face repeatedly by a woman, police said.

The boy suffered redness to his face and was taken by EMS to Mount Sinai Morningside for treatment.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect they were looking for earlier this week.
