Hiker Airlifted Out Of Temescal Canyon Park Wednesday Morning

The 30-year-old man was in "medical distress," and had to be hoisted out of the park due to the steep terrain.

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — A hiker had to be airlifted out of Temescal Canyon Park Wednesday morning after suffering an unknown injury. Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department were forced to perform a hoist operation around 10:36 a.m., due to "difficult and steep terrain" that was difficult to reach on foot.

There was no word as to what caused the 30-year-old man to require medical attention. Paramedics successfully airlifted the man out of the park, and took him to an area hospital to be evaluated.

No other details were immediately available.
