With California's regional stay-at home-order lifted for the Bay Area this week and a return to the purple tier for many counties, shuttered businesses have been able to reopen for the first time since early December.

Bay Area zoos are among that group.

The San Francisco Zoo has begun accepting reservations for dates starting Thursday for members and Saturday for all others. Tickets purchased for December dates that couldn't be used due to the stay-at-home order may be used without penalty. Get more reopening information here.

The Oakland Zoo will reopen to the public on February 3.

Reservations can be placed starting Monday. The Oakland Zoo has also extended their Glowfari event from February 5 to March 13.

Health and safety precautions remain in effect and will be enforced at both zoos.
