SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – A running list of weather-related closures in and around the Bay Area due to ongoing rain and heavy winds:

Road Closures

  • I-80 eastbound is open to passenger vehicles only with R2 restrictions from Alta to the Nevada state line. Big rigs are still being turned around. The highway is closed westbound at the Nevada state line
  • EB/WB Hwy 50
  • SR 20 at Nevada City
  • SR 89 around Emerald Bay
  • SR 49 between Downieville and Sattley
  • SR 89 between Sattley and Calpine
  • Stevens Canyon Road in Cupertino closed due to flooding near Stevens Creek County Park
  • Hwy 130 in San Jose, Santa Clara County closed through 10 a.m. January 29 due to ice and snow weather conditions. The closure is in effect at the Grant Ranch Park entrance to Mt. Hamilton

Park Closures

Some East Bay Regional Park District parks have also closed for public safety from 8 a.m. Wednesday to 8 a.m. Friday.

  • Anthony Chabot (Redwood Canyon Golf Course may remain open)
  • Claremont Canyon Regional Preserve
  • Huckleberry Regional Preserve
  • Kennedy Grove Regional Recreation Area
  • Lake Chabot Regional park
  • Leona Canyon Open Space Regional Preserve
  • Reinhart Redwood Regional Park
  • Roberts Recreation Area
  • Sibley Regional Preserve
  • Tilden Regional Park (including Tilden Golf course)
  • Wildcat Canyon Regional Park / Alvarado Park
