Attacker punches man, makes anti-gay remarks in Union Square Park: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An attacker punched a man in the face and made anti-gay remarks inside Union Square Park last week, the NYPD said Tuesday.

The 45-year-old man was inside the park in Manhattan around 2 p.m. on Jan. 21 when the attack happened, police said.

The attack left the 45-year-old with bruising and pain to his mouth, the NYPD said.

Police are now searching for his attacker, an approximately 25- to 30-year-old man who was last seen wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
