Bangladesh and India are currently facing each other in the second ODI of the three-match series in Dhaka. The hosts are leading 1-0 having won the opening game by one wicket. They opted to bat first after winning the toss only to find themselves reeling at 69/6 at one stage. Their veteran batter Shakib Al Hasan was also one of the batters to get out cheaply in the innings.

Perhaps, the left-handed batter was a tad unlucky to not get dropped. Off the last delivery of the 17th over, Washington Sundar flighted the ball outside off leading to the batter going for a slog sweep. However, Shakib could only top edge the ball high in the air.

Shikhar Dhawan was fielding in the short third man area and he duly went for the catch. At the same time, Siraj who was at short fine leg also charged towards the ball. Both the fielders almost collided before the ball went through Dhawan's hands and ended up getting stuck into his knees.

Interestingly, Dhawan managed to get hold of the ball from his knees before it fell to successfully claim the catch. Shakib had to walk back to the pavilion after scoring just eight runs off 20 deliveries.

Here's the video:

Shakib looked rusty throughout the innings

As for Shakib Al Hasan, he looked rusty throughout his outing in the middle with Umran Malik rattling him with amazing pace. Moreover, the batter was hit on the helmet on multiple occasions with India pacers breathing fire. While Umran didn't get his wicket, Sundar ended up being the beneficiary with Shakib looking frustrated.

Meanwhile, at 69/6, it seemed as if India would wrap up Bangladesh's innings quickly. But their hero from the last game Mehidy Hasan Miraz has stood up yet again for the side along with veteran Mahmudullah to resurrect the innings. Both of them have scored fifties and it remains to be seen if the visitors will be able to chase down the total set in order to level the series.
