Criminal Minds‘ Paget Brewster Reveals Her ‘Sassier’ New Look for Revival
Criminal Minds fans will experience a “sassier, no filters” version of Emily Prentiss when the procedural returns for its upcoming Paramount+ revival — and it all starts with the hair.
Franchise vet Paget Brewster on Monday tweeted a photo from her first day in hair and makeup for the highly anticipated revival, and her sneak peek came with an important message.
“Oh, hi Guys !! … I hope you’re all excited for a slightly older, sassier, no filters, grey-haired Prentiss,” Brewster wrote. “And if you aren’t, that’s cool, just tell someone else.”
Brewster, whose Criminal Minds character famously rocked jet black hair throughout the show’s 15-season run, has been very vocal about embracing her natural color in future acting roles.
“I like my grey hair,” she tweeted in July. “I have felt pressure to dye it, pretend to be 35 again, no thanks. We all have huge issues to address, I know. This is one small battle. But I think all of us have small personal battles. Let’s start by being kind to each other, even when we disagree. Please.”

As TVLine previously reported, Criminal Minds‘ 10-episode Paramount+ revival will reunite many members of the show’s team as they face “their greatest threat yet — an UnSub who has used the pandemic to build a network of other serial killers,” according to the official logline.
In addition to Brewster, other veteran cast members returning for the revival include Joe Mantegna as David, A.J. Cook as JJ, Kirsten Vangsness as Penelope, Aisha Tyler as Tara and Adam Rodriguez as Luke.

She has always been my favorite since she joined the cast. However she wants to wear her hair makes no difference to me. Going natural is, well, natural.
Criminal Minds is losing not just two cast members, from this revival but three: Matthew Grey Gubler, Daniel Henney … and Paget Brewster’s wig. The show is never going to be the same.
I’m crossing my fingers that MGG gets a starring role in a show of his own. It’s been suggested that he’d be great in a reboot of the Ellery Queen Mysteries which starred Jim Hutton. I’d watch that.

I love Hotch. But given what the actor did, no, he shouldn’t be brought back.
He defended a female cast member against a known abusive and nasty man. Perhaps he went too far but it was in defence of someone after years of unacceptable behaviour.

Love it ! But can’t afford any streaming channel. As I’ve complained previously seniors are the tv watchers. All programmers try to get the younger generations as viewers. They don’t have time for tv especially if they have a family . Glad to see criminal minds made it back . Good luck ! Hope you get your viewers.

All fifteen seasons of Criminal Minds were released on DVD, there is a good chance this revival season will get a DVD release as well. My local library has all fifteen seasons, so check your library can’t beat the price.

It’s basically the genericized episodic version of Silence of the Lambs minus Hannibal Lecter, Buffalo Bill, and Clarice Starling, but the show is replete with plenty of other serial killers and FBI agents

I’m excited to see if they followed through with Luke Alvez & Penelope Garcia, who made plans in the finale to go on a date! I’ll miss Reid & Simmons, but I’m so glad the others are back! This is by far the show I’m most looking forward to this upcoming season.
