The NYPD released surveillance video Wednesday of the first of two robberies in Inwood on the morning of April 25.

Police said a 35-year-old man and 40-year-old man were approached by three men near Ninth Avenue and W. 203rd Street around 3 a.m.

One of the victims was punched in the face and knocked to the ground, while the second was grabbed from behind and body slammed to the pavement.

One of the thieves then brandished a gun and robbed the victims of a chain, two rings, one belt, eyeglasses, an iPhone 13, ID and a combined $1,320 in cash.

The first victim was knocked unconscious and suffered pain and bruising to his head, while the second victim suffered pain and swelling to his face. Both of them were treated by EMS at the scene.

The second robbery was just minutes later and less than a block away on W. 202nd Street.

Police said the three men approached a 20-year-old woman who was seated in a Toyota Camry. The gunman from the first robbery demanded her property, and she handed over her purse, which contained Apple AirPods, keys, a bank card, wallet and ID, police said.

No shots were fired, and the woman was not physically injured.

Police said Wednesday that Angel Pimentel, of the Bronx, was arrested last Thursday and charged with robbery. Police believe the 29-year-old was the gunman in the two robberies.

The NYPD is still searching for the two other suspects. Police said video released Wednesday shows them inside of a lounge on W. 202nd street before the robberies.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
